The name “Hawa Mahal” is not very uncommon since it makes to the top sights of Jaipur- the capital city of the leading tourism state Rajasthan. This fifty feet high, five storeyed sandstone structure stands as the exemplary architecture of Royal Rajputs of Jaipur. With its over 950 specially designed windows, the palace was constructed for the royal ladies who could view the activities through these windows. The construction facilitates the blow of winds across the palace, thereby it began to be called “Hawa Mahal” or “Palace of Winds”
